Lumaconi are a giant pasta format typical of Italian cuisine. They can be stuffed: indeed, their concave shape and their large format make them suitable for many filled and non-filled preparations. They go well with meat, fish or vegetarian sauces. Try them oven-baked with your favorite filling to enhance at the best their taste.

Food pairing

Our lumaconi are perfect grilled au gratin! Try them with your favorite sauce and you won’t regret it! We advise you to try them filled with ricotta, spinach, parmesan and roasted peppers. Add a sprinkle of Grana Padano to create an irresistible crust.

It may contain traces of squid.

Did you know

Lumaconi take their name from their unique shape: in fact, in Italian “lumaca” means snail. If you think about it, the lumaconi shape is similar to the one of a snail's shell. They look like "conchiglioni", that are called like that as they look like shells (shell in Italian is “conchiglia”).
